MHS’ senior management team has dynamic skills in technical and professional billing, claims adjudication and analysis, Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, worker’s compensation, coding, A/R management, collections, and credit balance reconciliation, EDI, HIPAA and Compliance.

Ervin, Annette

Annette Ervin is a Certified Medical Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) and a Certified Healthcare Instructor (CHI). After earning an Associates in Applied Science (AAS) degree in Medical Practice Management, she was able to obtain employment with a managed care organization as a Claims Examiner.

            Shortly there after, she was promoted to a Level II Claims Examiner and further becoming a Medical Claims Team Leader. Her health care experience spans ten plus years. Thus, she has knowledge of federal and state regulations in regard to managed care; HIPAA, National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA); medical records maintenance; third-party payers; Medicare and Medicaid; medical billing and coding; team building; and human resource management.

Currently Ms. Ervin provides instruction to Medical Billing and Coding and Medical Assistant students. In this role she has taught: Management Skills; Medical Office Applications; Health Insurance; Anatomy and Physiology for Health Professions; Human Relations; Introduction to Medical Coding & Reimbursement and, Medical Terminology. annette@midatlantic-solutions.org



Lynch, Patricia 

Ms. Lynch has been in the medical field for over 20 years. Upon earning an Associates of Science Degree (AAS) in Medical and Dental Secretarial Management, she was able to obtain employment for surgical oncology and cancer chemotherapy physicians as a medical biller and coder. 

     Gaining the knowledge and experience required for advancement, Ms. Lynch’s expertises extend to pulmonary and sleep medicine. She has performed duties which encompass all aspects of the billing cycle from charge entry to accounts receivable management.

     In 2003 she was granted the Certified Professional Coder (CPC) title by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC). As a member of AAPC, Ms. Lynch is able to maintain her credential and stay abreast of the latest coding trends. Her areas of focus includes Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care. 

     In addition, she is employed part-time as an instructor for a Medical Billing and Coding Program. She has taught ICD-9-CM, CPT-4, Reimbursement Methodologies, Health Care Delivery Systems, Anatomy and Physiology, Health Insurance and Medisoft.

Robinson, V. M.


Ms. Robinson has been employed in the healthcare industry for 25 years. A native of Nansemond County, Virginia, she has served both the Provider and  managed care sectors. For thirteen years, Ms. Robinson has demonstrated her third party billing and financial counseling knowledge for the Community Hospital, Academic Medical Center, Behavioral Health Facility and Faculty Practice Plan. She has performed Claims Auditing and Claims Adjudication functions for the Indemnity, Managed Care and Third Party Administrator organizations.

                    Her management knowledge includes organizational development, process improvement, and development of workflow policy and procedures and project management. She has been employed in the following departments: Patient Financial Services; Patient Access; Central Business Office; Quality Assurance, Corporate Finance and Claims.  Her job titles have included: Manager, Revenue Management; Quality Data Analyst; Senior Financial Analyst; Financial Counseling Coordinator; PFS Representative; Intake Coordinator; and, Senior Billing Representative.

                  She has successfully interacted with a broad range of professionals in the healthcare industry as well as other industries including government agencies, social services, higher education, banking and law enforcement. Her abilities in the financing of healthcare have grown with the industry from Fee For Service to Managed Care.

Sebourne, Juanita

A New Jersey native, Ms. Sebourne brings 26 years of healthcare experience to MHS. Her expertise includes Medicare, Managed Care, Provider Network, Clinical Trials and Home Health.

As the Manager, Medical Practice Liaison Division, Ms. Sebourne will be responsible for medical practice issues under MHS’ Billing Management Group and The Advisory Board programs. Ms. Sebourne studied Business Administration at Community College of Philadelphia and is a Certified computer Instructor.

Stephens, Lynne


Lynne Stephens has been in the medical field for 20 years.  In this time she has been employed as a medical assistant, phlebotomist and lab assistant. Her technological knowledge includes working with Sunquest Information Systems, Inc. a market leader in clinical data management and Envision. 

      Ms. Stephens has managed a physician's office laboratory as well as an outpatient hospital lab. A Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), she is also a certified CPR instructor.

     Ms. Stephens currently utilizes her health care talents and skills on a part-time basis by providing instruction to medical assistant students. In this role she has taught: Management Skills; Medical Office Applications; Clinical Asepsis; Pharmacology; Anatomy & Physiology; Hematology; Health Insurance; and, Medical Terminology. lynne@midatlantic-solutions.org
